Over the past 23 years, our family has had the incredible honor of representing the United States at the World Equestrian Games on several occasions.
Our journey began in 2002, when brothers Tom and Scott McCutcheon traveled to Spain to win Team Gold for the USA in Reining — with Tom also earning Individual Silver aboard Conquistador Whiz.

because it keeps our
family together.”

Following that, Tom and Tim McQuay helped Team USA bring home two more gold medals in 2006 and 2010. In 2006, Tim earned Individual Silver with Mister Nicadual, and in 2010, Tom was crowned Individual Gold Medalist aboard the legendary Gunners Special Nite, with Tim finishing 4th on Hollywoodstinseltown.
In 2014, Tom and Mandy represented Team USA in Normandy, earning another Team Gold, with Mandy taking Individual Bronze aboard Yellow Jersey.
Most recently, in 2018, Tom and Cade McCutcheon proudly represented Team USA, securing Team Gold once again, with Cade earning Individual Bronze aboard Custom Made Gun.
And now, continuing the tradition, Carlee McCutcheon proudly represented the United States this year in the 3* Senior Nations Cup in Spain, marking another milestone for our family and for Team USA. Carlee piloted Aralyn Blue for the Road To The Top Program.
It’s always special to take a walk down memory lane. We are deeply thankful for the horses beneath us and the opportunities this sport has given our family.
The McCutcheon and McQuay family have built their lives and livelihood in North Texas. They are an example of why the horse industry is so important to North Texas. This kind of culture is built through legacy and only time can forge it well.
