October often carries with it a shift—the air cools, the leaves change, and we begin moving toward the holiday season.  But while many see this as a time of celebration and gathering, there are some that struggle with how difficult the holidays are for them. Behind the visible behaviors that others may judge, often lies deep emotional and psychological pain that deserves compassion and healing. We are more than our struggles, more than our actions in moments of distress, and more than the labels placed on us.  We all have seasons of life where we must navigate feelings of stress, grief and loss. With October being mental health awareness month, we are reminded  not only to care for one another but also to look within, breaking the shame and stigma around mental health and extending grace as we move forward together.

North Texas is home to Healing Springs Ranch (HSR) located on 80 acres of beautiful lakefront property in Tioga, Texas. They offer an integrated approach for people who struggle with addiction, mental illness, and trauma. Clients develop emotional resilience, psychological insight, and practical skills essential for long-term wellness and recovery. HSR recognizes that people are more than just their behaviors. This is why they utilize a Functional Approach to recovery, which focuses on healing the underlying emotional and psychological pain that drives the behaviors. With thoughtfully designed communal spaces and private therapy rooms, they provide a balance of individualized care and supportive community.
