Acts of Kindness

Lauglin

Glen & Fon Laughlin

By: Jodie Linton Prickett

Lawrence G. Lovasik once said, “A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves.” Glen and Fon Laughlin epitomize this in the way they live. While successful at business, they are also successful in life. They are warm, kind, and always willing to give a hand in the community. They are both active in many area Chambers of Commerce and members of the Denton Economic Development Board. Fon received her license to practice law in 1992; Fon received her Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech School of Law, before serving as general counsel of a mortgage corporation and opening her law practice in 1993. She is a frequent speaker at Realtor and Lender meetings and volunteers her time to many civic organizations. She served as President of the Lake Cities Chamber from 2003 to 2005 and she is on the Board of Directors for the Lake Cities Education Foundation. Fon volunteers as a Mediator for The Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, a non-profit organization which offers the community low cost mediations to resolve their disputes.

Glen is always out in the community and his personality is larger than life. Glen is always ready to put a smile on your face. He volunteers his time with several community organizations including the Aubrey Education Foundation, Oak Point Parks and Recreation Board, The Julian C. Hyer Organization and the Lion’s Club. He also works with Exchange Student Program helping find placement for students coming into the area.

Laughlin Law and Title recently won the Aubrey Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award. This award reflects their overall contribution to the community. They have two locations, one in Cross Roads and the other in Lake Dallas. They run their business “hands on” and work with a team of long-term dedicated staff members. They attribute the success of their business and their ability to contribute so much to the community because of the commitment of their staff. The Laughlin’s business philosophy is to provide a service that preserves fresh ideas but maintains an old-fashion approach. Customer service is not outdated at Laughlin Law and Title. They provide it to everyone who comes into the office. Laughlin Law and Title ensures that all clients receive the highest level of service, satisfaction and savings. They do not believe in status quo. Their objective is to exceed your expectations while making your closing experience a success. The principal focus of Laughlin Law and Title continues to be title services, real estate, wills, corporations, and mortgage law. When closing a property with Laughlin Law and Title you can expect informative, well-explained closings. This makes the process easier for the well-seasoned closer as well as a first timer.
